White River High gymnast Erin McGinness took top all-around honors Jan. 28, when four teams gathered for a night of competition in the Auburn High gymnasium.

The senior turns out with the Enumclaw High School squad (because White River does not offer a gymnastics program) but did not figure into the team scoring.

Auburn Mountainview finished the scoring with 152.50 to top the field; Auburn Riverside was second with 150.60, Enumclaw was third with 134.80 and Auburn High came in at 130.55.

McGinness registered the night’s top scores in the floor exercise (9.3), beam (9.4) and vault (8.75). Her score of 7.30 in the bars left her second.

Enumclaw had two gymnasts factoring in the all-around. Ashley Dickerson placed seventh in the field and Britney Ibarra was 14th. Dickerson’s standing was based on her fifth-place performances in the vault and floor exercise, plus a sixth-place showing in the bars.

Enumclaw’s top performances of the evening was turned in by Katie Hardman who placed third with a 9.2 on the beam.
