White River High junior Kandie Kujawa carried home the Hornets’ only medal from Friday and Saturday’s Class 3A state girls’ wrestling tournament in the Tacoma Dome.
The Class 3A state wrestling tournament finished Saturday night and already coach Joe Klein and the White River High Hornets are looking toward next season.
The Bonney Lake High girls will make their first appearance in a district basketball tournament thanks to a 53-49 win over the Mount Rainier Rams Saturday in Class 3A subdistrict action at Auburn Mountainview.
Having already faced the best the state of Washington can throw at them, the White River High girls now jump into a 16-team district tournament that will eventually send a lucky seven to the Class 3A state basketball championships.
The Enumclaw High girls will return to the court tonight, Wednesday, participating in the opening round of the West Central/Southwest district basketball tournament.
