It was another good week for the Sumner High boys golf team, though not without its drawbacks: the Spartans broke a season-long winning streak in its three-way Thursday match against Franklin Pierce and Washington High School at Brookdale in Tacoma.
Bonney Lake High’s girls golf team faced Decatur Sept. 20 and came up short — five strokes short. The Panthers lost to the Gators 156-137, with a stroke count of 291-296.
The Bonney Lake City Council Tuesday night tabled for further discussion an ordinance to rename the city’s portion of the Sumner-Buckley Highway in honor of veterans.
