Bonney Lake Christian Academy plans to open its doors and begin teaching classes Sept. 4.

The private school, under the guidance of Superintendent Susan Kobes, offers a Christian-based curriculum for students in kindergarten through third grade. Special offerings will include a music program, American Sign Language instruction and visits by authors and Hebrew instructors.

Plans call for an additional grade level to be added each year.
