Dilbeck’s photographic images can be visually read in many different ways. Electronically capturing distant images or focusing on the smallest detail of something nearby allows viewers to wonder about the reality of what they’re seeing.

Dilbeck’s works has been shown in Auburn, Puyallup, Yakima and Port Townsend, as well as Enumclaw.

In a prepared statement, Dilbeck wrote of his work: “It is simplistic, complicated and everything in between all at the same time. It is also, many times, not recognizable, which are the type of images I enjoy presenting. Making people pause, look a little deeper and think about what they see. I hope to illustrate that there are many dramatic scenes in nature that tend to be overlooked because they are around us every day just waiting for us to stumble upon them. I’m constantly looking for those unique moments when nature presents itself in a truly magnificent way.”

The collection to be shown in Enumclaw provides a wide assortment of subjects, from traditional to impressionistic and abstract. Some are located in places like Hawaii and Mexico and many are from areas in Washington state.

“They represent some of the things that have captured my attention and reminded me of just how wonderful and special our natural world truly is,” Dilbeck wrote.

Gallery 2012 is open 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except holidays.
