Christmas creche exhibit draws hundreds to Maple Valley area

For the past five years, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Maple Valley stake, has hosted a nativity exhibit for the community, and once again, invites all to visit.

For the past five years, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Maple Valley stake, has hosted a nativity exhibit for the community, and once again, invites all to visit.

There will be more than 500 creches for viewing, from wood to crystal. Local choirs, instrumentalists and soloists provide background music as visitors stroll through the various nativity scenes. Artwork of various mediums will also be on display.

There will be a live nativity, along with a children’s activity room featuring arts and crafts for the younger crowd. Refreshments will also be available.

The event is free.

The nativity event is 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and Sunday with extended hours of 2 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 26800 236th Pl. S.E., in the Four Corners north of Maple Valley.
