WHOSE MUSTANG?: Police were told Aug. 24 of a black Mustang left in a Roosevelt Avenue parking lot. There was damage to the vehicle’s front end, a headlight was missing and one tire was flat. There was no answer at the home of the registered owner and two associated phone numbers had been disconnected.

HAS TO GO: Police were notified Aug. 24 of a motorhome parked in a downtown lot for two weeks without moving. It appeared unoccupied. An officer issued a warning about parking in excess of 24 hours.

SUSPECT LOCATED: An officer contacted the victim of a hit-and-run incident Aug. 24. There were no immediate suspects, but both a suspect vehicle and driver had been located a couple of hours later. A citation was to be sent through the mail.

THEFT FROM AUTO: Items were reported stolen from a vehicle parked at at Watson Street address. No suspects were identified. The report was issued Aug. 24.

JEWELRY THEFT: An officer responded Aug. 23 to take a report from a Griffin Avenue resident who claimed a $27 necklace had been stolen. There were no immediate suspects.

HIT-AND-RUN: A resident told police Aug. 23 a vehicle had been hit by another vehicle three days earlier. There were no suspects and a report was taken for insurance purposes only.

INVOLUNTARY COMMITMENT: An officer responded Aug. 23 to a Battersby Avenue address to check on the welfare of a subject. The person was transported by ambulance to Auburn Regional Medical Center on an involuntary commitment.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer was dispatched Aug. 23 to a Farrelly Street address concerning an assault. A suspect was not on the scene. Police determined it was a domestic violence situation and a report was taken.

EXPLOSIVE: An employee of a McDougall Avenue business discovered a broken window and notified police the morning of Aug. 22. An officer discovered the damage was caused by a sparkler bomb. Pieces of the device were recovered and sent to the Washington State Patrol laboratory in hopes of detecting fingerprints. Police had responded two days earlier to the same location following a report of two broken windows and a damaged planter.

WINDSHIELD SMASHED: Police responded Aug 22 to a Garfield Street address where a vehicle windshield had been damaged, possibly be a fire extinguisher that was found nearby. The damage was estimated at $550. Beer bottles found in the vicinity matched a bottle found in a truck that had its back window smashed while parked on Semanski Street the same night.

ATV TAKEN: A Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was reported stolen from the read of a truck parked on Davis Avenue. The theft was reported the morning of Aug. 22.

EXTRA PATROL: A Lois Lane resident called police Aug. 22, requesting extra police patrol of the area. A truck had been covered in purple paint and derogatory comments. No permanent damage was done.

BICYCLE  THEFT: Police were told Aug. 22 of the theft of four bicycles from a Garfield Street address. The report was for informational purposes only as no serial numbers could be provided. The bikes were located later in the day and returned to the owner.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A backpack containing a phone charging cable, drill, pliers and company paperwork was stolen Aug. 22 from a vehicle parked in a Roosevelt Avenue lot. Also taken was a vest containing keys. There were no suspects or witnesses.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Police responded Aug. 22 to a Gossard Place address following a report of a man standing outside and threatening a woman. The suspect was gone when police arrived. The woman was advised to obtain a protection order.
