Approved and sent to the full Council:

  • A motion requesting the executive, in collaboration with the departments of public health and community and human services, and a community stakeholder panel informed by local and national expertise, to develop and submit for council review and approval a plan for an accountable and integrated system of health, human services and community‑based prevention in King County (Motion 2012-0420).

At today’s Council meeting, Councilmembers:

  • Unanimously adopted an ordinance adopting the HERO (Heroes Employment Reintegration Opportunity) Program in King County (Ordinance 2012-0387).

 

Unanimously adopted ordinances approving labor agreements with:

 

  • Technical Employees’ Association (Staff, Interest Arbitration) representing employees in the department of transportation (Ordinance 2012-0409).
  • Technical Employees’ Association (Wastewater Treatment Division, Supervisors and Staff) representing employees in the departments of natural resources and parks, and King County information technology (Ordinance 2012-0421).
  • International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 117 (Wastewater Treatment Division, Professional & Technical and Administrative Support) representing employees in the department of natural resources and parks (Ordinance 2012-0422).
  • Service Employees International Union, Local 925 (Facilities Management Division) representing employees in the department of executive services (Ordinance 2012-0424).
  • International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 117 (Wastewater Treatment Division, Supervisors) representing employees in the department of natural resources and parks (Ordinance 2012-0425).
