Molen buys $2,800 pounds of candy from local trick-or-treaters

This was 300 more pounds than last year.

Every year, Molen Orthodontics buys Halloween candy back from trick-or-treaters to promote healthy teeth.

This year, Molen reported their three locations bought back 2,800 pounds of candy at $2 a pound, 300 more pounds than last year.

They also collected around 2,000 pounds of canned food items for local food banks, said Event Coordinator Nicole Barnett.

The event was hosted Nov. 1 at Molen’s Enumclaw, Auburn, and Sumner locations.
