To truly appreciate south Puget Sound, do a little exploring in the rain. This time of year, the roads and parks are less crowded, making for a relaxing state parks road trip. Plus, there’s still snow in the Cascades and migrating wildlife visiting the area. Can you say, “photo op?”

So throw your waterproof gear in the car, and get ready to discover the contemplative gray and moody ambiance of the Pacific Northwest! For this road trip adventure, we’re heading out from Olympia to a few excellent South Puget Sound area state parks.
