Primary election deadline for returning ballots is tomorrow, Aug. 5.

Ballots must be postmarked by Aug. 5 or returned to a ballot drop box location by 8 p.m. the same day.

“As of this morning, about 226,000 ballots have been returned to King County Elections,” said Sherril Huff, King County Elections director. “Don’t miss the opportunity to vote in this election. With nearly one million more ballots waiting to be voted, voters still have time to weigh in on many important decisions.”

Ballots must be postmarked by Aug. 5 or returned to a ballot drop box location by 8 p.m. the same day. Voters considering mailing their ballots should do so today or early tomorrow to ensure that they meet the deadline.

The turnout forecast is 38 percent.
