Employees of a local bank called police at 11:36 a.m. Dec. 31, concerned about the behavior of a customer who was asking inappropriate questions and asking for money.

STRANGE BEHAVIOR: Employees of a local bank called police at 11:36 a.m. Dec. 31, concerned about the behavior of a customer who was asking inappropriate questions and asking for money. Because the man had no identification, the bank could conduct no transaction. It was determined the man also had been at a city automobile dealership asking for money. Officers made contact and determined the man would be going to a family member who would assist with finances.

COURTESY RIDE: An officer responded at 1:43 a.m. Dec. 31 to the vicinity of Griffin Avenue and Marion Street after hearing of a woman sitting in the middle of the road. Contact was made and she was given a ride home.

INJURIES: Police responded at 11:29 a.m. Dec. 30 to a two-car collision on Porter Street. One patient was transported from the scene.

NO SALE: Police received multiple complains the afternoon of Dec.  30 from residents of a Cooper Lane neighborhood, all regarding solicitors working the area. Officers responded and told the sellers of city rules regarding soliciting; they agreed to gather their team and leave.

DISTURBANCE: Police were told at 6  p.m. Dec. 30 of a female causing a disturbance outside a Harding Street residence. The woman departed prior to police arrival. When contacted by phone, she said the trouble stemmed from repeated calls she received from someone in the residence. Both parties agrees there would be no additional contact. When the calls continued, police determined they were coming from a phone associated with a juvenile. Parents were warned the calls had to stop or action would be taken.

TRAFFIC HAZARD: Police were told Dec. 30 of a cable hanging to the road while still attached to a pole and house. Cones were placed to keep traffic away from the area at Nielson Avenue and Lafromboise Street. Comcast was notified and was sending a work crew.
