Enumclaw resident John C. Benson Jr., 49, died July 18, 2014.

He graduated from Kentwood High School where he was a member of the football team that placed at state in 1982. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed spending time with family, watching football, NASCAR, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by sisters Debbie, Sandee, Pam and Pat; his children Brianna, John, and Jacob Benson; and his partner Delores.

He was preceded in death by his father John and mother Geri.

There will be a potluck style memorial from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, from at the Neuwaukum Grange Hall. The family asks that anyone with memories to share to write them down and bring for a memory book.
