EHS SWIM AND DIVE: Bowden, Davenport, two relays set district times

Two individuals and two relay teams qualified for the district girls swim meet right off the blocks Thursday as Enumclaw High beat a far-from-full Clover Park team 150-8.

Two individuals and two relay teams qualified for the district girls swim meet right off the blocks Thursday as Enumclaw High beat a far-from-full Clover Park team 150-8.

Senior Lindsay Bowden raced to a 1-minute, 11.55-second first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly for a district-qualifying time and freshman Bella Davenport scored a district-qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke with a 1:15.65 first-place finish.

Two of EHS’s 200 medley relay teams raced to district times. The “A” relay winning in 2:08.21 and the “B” team finishing in 2:14.91.

The Hornets 400 freestyle relay team also was a district-qualifier with a first-place time of 4:35.35.

The 200 freestyle relay was .02 seconds from a district-qualifying time.

Other first-place finishers were: Rachel Holston, 200 freestyle, 2:22.85; Davenport, 200 individual medley, 2:35.33; Erin Stucker, 50 freestyle, 28.87; Breanna Flaquinti, diving, 121 points; Stucker, 100 freestyle, 1:05.96; Rachel Holston, 500 freestyle, 6:44.87; and Bowden, 100 backstroke, 1:14.61.

Several Hornets turned in second-place finishes. They were: Alina VanRuff, 200 freestyle, 2:41.24; Suzy Holston, 200 IM, 2:58.53; Carly Hinman, 50 freestyle, 29.40; Alicia McDougall, diving, 111.70 points; Lori Lamm, 100 butterfly, 1:17.33; Erin Wessell, 100 freestyle, 1:07.60; Hinman, 500 freestyle, 6:55.34; Cassie Cook, 100 breaststroke, 1:18.52; and Suzy Holston, 100 breaststroke, 1:27.31.

The Hornets host Lakes at 3:30 p.m. Thursday and travel to Rogers High in Puyallup for the Autumn Relays Friday.
