The Sumner Spartans boys and girls basketball teams traveled to Fife to face the Trojans in a double header on Friday.
The boys fought hard but lost 62-52. The Spartans are now 3-1 in conference play and 5-4 overall on the season.
Sumner faces Clover Park next at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at Clover Park High School.
Sumner Girls Basketball
The Spartans were unstoppable from the beginning, scoring first and never looking back.
Sumner beat Fife 53-31 and have now won eight in a row. They advance to 4-0 in conference play and 9-1 overall.
The girls will also play Clover Park next at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at home.
Bonney Lake Basketball
The Bonney Lake boys basketball team hosted Tumwater on Friday and lost its 10th game in a row, losing 59-45.
The Panthers have not played a conference game yet and are 0-10 overall this season.
Bonney Lake will travel to Peninsula to play the Seahawks at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
Bonney Lake Girls Basketball
The girls traveled to Tahoma to play the Bears Friday in a non-conference game. The Panthers beat the Bears 58-52.
The Panthers have won six in a row and are 8-2 overall on the season.
Bonney Lake will host the Peninsula Seahawks at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
