Handful of Hornets, both Enumclaw and White River, receive year-end hoop honors

Among Class 3A girls, Enumclaw High senior Katina Ferguson was a first-team selection and sophomore teammate Jessica Snoen was an honorable mention pick.

As a team, the EHS girls received the Sportsmanship Award.

Among Class 3A boys, Enumclaw’s D.J. Hitch was a first-team honoree. Teammate Terenn Houk was a second-teampick and Dylan Fitzpatrick received honorable mention. All three are seniors.

In the Class 2A ranks, White River High was mentioned frequently.

Brooke Paulson earned co-Most Valuable Player accolades, sharing the honor with Eatonville’s Becca Schrimpsher. Both are seniors.

Rani Wiegand and Sabra Sproul, also seniors, were named to the all-league first team. Sophomore teammate Kennedy Hobert received honorable mention status.

Their coach, Chris Gibson, was named coach of the year.

On the Class 2A boys side of things, White River junior Billy Kiel was named to the second team. Teammates Jason Tyler, a junior, and Alex Sayler, a sophomore, received honorable mention.

In 2A boys, White River received the Sportsmanship Award.
