Highlights from Enumclaw High golf and water polo and White River girls golf

Salsbury ties record in win

After handing Decatur a loss Monday, the Enumclaw High boys golf team, behind the record-setting performance of senior Tyler Salsbury, topped Lakes 99-46 to stay on top of the SPSL 3A.

Salsbury shot a 5-under par 30 on the front nine at the Enumclaw Golf Course Tuesday to tie the Hornets’ course record. He was also the day’s medalist.

Enumclaw’s boys play Auburn Mountainview for the league championship, also the last match of the regular season, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Enumclaw Golf Course. Both teams are 8-1 in league play.

Sisters Tiffany and Tammy Wilkening shared medalist honors for the Lady Hornets in EHS’s 124-63 win over Lakes at Oakbrook Country Club Tuesday.The junior and freshman, respectively, finished the par-36 course with matching 45s.

Miller leads WRHS girls golf

Caitlyn Miller’s 49-stroke performance earned her medalist honors and the White River girls golf team a 35-8 victory over Clover Park Tuesday at the Tacoma Country Club.

Culp sets pace for Hornets with six

Mason Culp tossed in six goals and Bennon VanHoof added four more in the Enumclaw High boys water team’s 25-14 league loss to Auburn Riverside Tuesday in Auburn.

Gabe Sales scored two goals, while Thomas Petersen and Will Cooper each added another in the high-scoring loss.
