THEFT

Police were dispatched on May 8 to Allan Yorke Park regarding a theft. Police responded at 8:57 p.m. and spoke to a 17-year-old female victim who said she left her keys in her boyfriend’s jacket unattended. After setting the jacket down, the female and her 17-year-old boyfriend walked around the park for about 15 minutes and then returned to find the jacket gone. The jacket was valued at $40 and the set of keys was valued at $100.

WARRANT FOR ARREST

On May 9, at approximately 5:21 p.m. an officer observed a 19-year-old female driving northbound on West Tapps Highway with a cracked windshield. A records check revealed the woman had a misdemeanor warrant out for her arrest from the Auburn Police Department for theft in the third degree. When pulled over, the driver provided a driver’s license, but was unable to provide proof of liability insurance. She stated she was unaware she had a warrant out for her arrest. She was handcuffed and placed in the back of the patrol car. She was transported to the Auburn Police Department and was issued a citation for no insurance.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE

On May 14, at 7:36 a.m. police took a report of theft from a vehicle at 68th St. E. The 57-year-old male victim stated he noticed the windows of two of his vehicles were broken wen he left the house that morning. He stated he last saw the vehicles at 2100 hours the previous day and the were not damaged. He stated a gym bag was stolen from one of the vehicles, which was a rental car. He reported a piece of kitchenware was stolen from the other vehicle.
