Congressman ’s office now open in Buckley

It was just another Wednesday at the office Aug. 12 for Zachary Guill, with one exception.

His boss, Eighth District U.S. Congressman Dave Reichert, showed up for the special open house at Guill’s office in Buckley’s Multi-Purpose Center.

Guill said things went well the first two weeks in his new digs and wishes even more people would set up appointments to discuss their interests and share their opinions, which he relays to Reichert.

“That’s why I am here,” said Guill, who fought in Iraq, was hurt and is now part of the prestigious Wounded Warrior program that puts wounded veterans to work for politicians.

Guill provides a presence for Reichert, specializing in veteran’s affairs, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Wednesday.

“When we found out about this program we jumped on it as quickly as possible and got Zach signed up for it,” the congressman said. “We are lucky to have him and he will be a great attribute as people begin to find out he is going to be in this office every Wednesday. Zach is as sharp as can be and he is a good listener. I am confident that any concerns that people on the Plateau have will get back to me through Zach.”
