Interwest N.W. Construction and Development, the largest private enterprise in Buckley, had its public open house recently and it was one for the ages. Hundreds of people showed up on the sunny Saturday for free hats, BBQ, beer, soda and chips.

The first face you see in this slide show is Joe Kessel, the owner of the exceedingly strong company.

About twenty vendors were part of the open house and enhanced it greatly, as there were also doorprizes, giveaways galore and people were better able to understand what this industrial giant is all about. Additionally, as the slideshow reveals, there were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained as among other things the Les Schwab pitching monitor trailer and bounce house were on site.

Eye catching attractions were the NAPA Rocks ’69 Nova SS and a multitude of other classic vehicles, including the ’39 classic that 70-year-old Kessel was seen driving and said he had owned since he was a, “young man”.
