Natural Yard Care workshops coming to Bonney Lake

“Natural Yard Care” workshops will be offered Sept. 30 and Oct. 14 at the Bonney Lake Public Safety Building, 18421 Sumner-Buckley Hwy. The free workshops will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The workshops will be presented by the city of Bonney Lake and the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department.

Individuals can learn about environmentally friendly yard and garden maintenance practices to help create a beautiful and healthy lawn and landscape.

Those attending will also learn how yard care practices can impact stormwater and what everyone can do to protect water quality. The workshops are presented as a series and will address yard maintenance issues including natural lawn care, smart watering techniques, garden design and selecting the right plant for the right place, growing healthy soil, garden pest management practices and backyard composting.
