Mediation class offered at Sumner Library

Managing stress may have many health benefits and a course on meditation Oct. 10 is designed to help achieve relaxation.
People will learn how to decrease stress and increase energy during a free meditation workshop at Sumner Pierce County Library.
Meditation instructor Brenda Lee Stephens hosts a class through five components of effective meditation practice: relaxation, passive, active, guided visualization and a soothing down. Participants should bring a pillow for use during the training.
Benefits of meditation include less stress and anxiety, an increase energy, and more ability to concentrate. The Friends of the Sumner Library sponsor this free program.
The Sumner Pierce County Library is located at 1116 Fryar Avenue. The class begins Oct. 10 a t 2 p.m.
