Improve health with free meditation workshop at library

People will learn how to decrease stress and increase energy during a free meditation workshop at 2 p.m. Saturday at at Sumner Pierce County Library, 1116 Fryar Ave.

Certified meditation instructor Brenda Lee Stephens will gently guide the class through five components of effective meditation practice: relaxation, passive, active, guided visualization and a soothing down. Participants should bring a pillow for use during the training.

Benefits of meditation include lowered anxiety and stress, increased energy, concentration and focus, and improved overall health and vitality.

The Friends of the Sumner Library will sponsor this free program.
