Medical examiner’s office identifies woman found near tracks

The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office had to used fingerprints to identify a woman’s body that was discovered along the railroad tracks north of Sumner Sept. 29.

She is Monica Hansen, 50, address unknown, Medical Investigator Jim Eggleston said Monday.

Hansen was found in the 4000 block of East Valley Highway. Her body was discovered about 200 feet south from the near driveway along the highway.
