FOR AREA KIDS: Santa making scheduled visits to area homes

Santa Claus has been seen going through his list and checking it twice. Have you been naughty or have you been nice?
Area families can schedule a visit by Santa to their homes for their children as St. Nick makes a return trip to and from the North Pole.
Parents with children age 10 and younger can schedule Santa for a visit between 4 and 10 p.m. Dec. 23 and 24.
Northwest Santa will accept appointments to visit children in the Bonney Lake, Sumner, Orting, Algona, Pacific, Milton, Edgewood and Auburn area.
Tim Tallon, who started the group, said Santa will visit area homes, sit with the children and parents can take photos of their children with St. Nick.
“We want to make Santa available to as many children as we can,” Tallon said. “So far, we have more than 100 homes to visit and we’re expecting more.”
Tallon said there are a few suggestions to make Santa’s visit a little easier:
• reserve a special parking space.
• have a sturdy chair ready and place it near a Christmas tree or holiday setting.
• get everyone ready before Santa arrives.
• and have cameras ready.
The visits are free and Northwest Santa is accepting donations of nonperishable items for local food banks.
To schedule an appointment, visit www.nwsanta.org or call 425-606-4819 by Saturday.
