Enumclaw

ASSAULT

• Thursday morning, an officer contacted the victim of an assault that occurred the night before at a bus stop at Cole Street and Davis Avenue. One suspect was taken into custody and booked; a second subject later arrived at the police station and was booked.

UNWANTED GUEST

• A man called police at 1:16 a.m. Jan. 20, asking that an officer get his ex-girlfriend to leave his Watson Street apartment. It was noted there was a no-contact order in place. An officer told her to leave and suggested she schedule a more appropriate time to retrieve her possessions.

TWO IN CUSTODY

• A traffic stop at 11 a.m. Jan. 20 at the intersection of Cole Street and Myrtle Avenue resulted in the driver being arrested for driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. A passenger was booked on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Bonney Lake; the passenger also had an outstanding warrant issued by Puyallup.

REFERRAL MADE

• Police were asked Jan. 19 to check on the welfare of a toddler who was seen, without any clothing, at a Sun Mountain Drive residence. Officers contacted a parent and the case was to be forwarded to Child Protective Services for further review.

IN CUSTODY

• One subject was taken into custody the morning of Jan. 19 at Enumclaw Regional Hospital, at the request of the Auburn Police Department. A corrections officer transported the person to the White River Amphitheatre for a transfer to Auburn authorities.

HARASSMENT

• A Jan. 19 caller reported being harassed by a man living in the Hunter Court vicinity. An officer contacted all parties and determined it was a road rage incident stemming from people speeding through the area. Police will be doing extra patrol.

DOMESTIC

• Police responded the evening of Jan. 19 after learning that a man had locked a woman out of their home and placed her belongings outside. The woman wanted to get her cat and leave the premises. The dispute was verbal only and, after an officer intervened, the woman was able to retrieve her cat.

DISORDERLY

• Police were contacted shortly before 1 a.m. Jan. 18 regarding a disorderly patient at Enumclaw Regional Hospital. Upon arrival, a doctor refused to let an officer contact the patient, but asked if he could contact a victim in the lobby. It was eventually determined an assault had taken place outside local jurisdiction; a dispatcher attempted to pass the call to Pierce County, where a dispatcher refused the call. Local authorities were told Pierce County would not be responding but asked that the victim make contact when he returned to Pierce County.

SHOPLIFTING

• Police were told at 1:54 a.m. Jan. 18 that three males had attempted to shoplift energy drinks from a Monroe Avenue store. An employee recovered one drink from one of the suspects. An officer made contact with two juveniles but, after reviewing security tape, it was determined they were not suspects.

• A shoplifter was detained just prior to 11 p.m. Jan. 15 at a Monroe Avenue store, then taken into custody by police and booked for third-degree theft.

WARRANT ARREST

• A citizen attempting to visit an inmate at the Enumclaw jail Jan. 17 was arrested on a felony warrant issued by Tacoma; the original charge was driving under the influence. The subject was driven to the White River Amphitheatre and turned over to the Washington State Patrol.

MISCHIEF

• A door to City Hall was tagged with red spray paint, apparently during the early-morning hours of Jan. 17. Except for the paint, the building was not damaged.

FIGHTS REPORTED

• Police were alerted at 9:13 p.m. Jan. 16 to a fight in progress at a Myrtine Street address. It was determined a female had been assaulted by a man.

• Officers responded at 9:40 p.m. Jan. 16 to a report of a fight in progress involving three people at Rotary Park. The subjects had departed before police arrived.

BURGLARY

• A residential burglary was reported at 5 a.m. Jan. 15. Taken from a shed attached to a Sunset Avenue residence were a Honda generator and various tools. There was no damage done to the shed. Extra patrol was requested for the area.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

• A physical altercation between an adult daughter and her father resulted in one person taken into custody and charged with fourth-degree assault/domestic violence. The incident occurred just prior to 11 p.m. Jan. 15 at a Jewell Street address.

Buckley

POSSESSION

• At 2:56 a.m. Jan. 18, a 43-year-old female was stopped for a traffic violation at the Hinkleman Extension and state Route 410 and found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The woman was arrested, issued a notice of infraction and criminal citation and released.

FELONY WARRANT

• At 10:41 p.m. Jan. 19, an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding between the bridges on SR 410. The officer routinely ran the driver through dispatch and dispatch advised that the driver had a felony warrant out for his arrest. He was placed under arrest on the warrant and given a notice of infraction for speeding.

MONEY FRAUD

• At 7:57 p.m. Thursday, an officer was dispatched to Mountain Circle on a possible fraud. The officer arrived and contacted the victim, who said he had sent thousands of dollars to another country in order to help a female who lived there. The officer advised him to stop talking with the party and to close his accounts so they could not get any more money from him.

IMPROPER CALL

• At 12:31 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to Ewing Street for a reported 911 hang-up. Officers contacted an intoxicated 52-year-old woman from Buckley, a 54-year-old man from Puyallup and three teenagers from Buckley. After speaking to all parties involved, it was determined the woman had called 911 as a threat to remove the kids from her residence. The three juveniles left the residence without incident and the woman was spoken to regarding the proper use of the 911 reporting system.

MOTOR THEFT

• At 12:01 a.m. Saturday, a Whitehouse Avenue woman reported that sometime during the night her daughter stole her vehicle and her wallet. The victim advised that her daughter had been arrested in Portland early that morning. A statement was taken and the Portland Police Bureau was contacted to obtain copies of their report.

DUI

• At 1:15 a.m. Monday, an officer stopped a 22-year-old male from Bonney Lake at the 28500 block of SR 410 for a traffic violation. The male was found to be driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The male was also found to be driving on a suspended lciense. The male was arrested, issued a notice of infraction and criminal citation and booked into Buckley Jail.
