BLHS SOCCER: Season kicks off with two losses

The opening week of the prep soccer season brought bad news for the Bonney Lake Panthers.
The team took its lumps in the March 16 opener, losing 6-2 at Franklin Pierce, then dropped a tough 1-0 decision Friday to visiting Timberline.
Both of Bonney Lake’s goals against Franklin Pierce came in the second half, the first by Drew Sadowsky off a Tim Knowles assist and the second coming on a penalty kick by JD Walter.
For the victorious Cardinals, Derek Johnson registered a hat trick and Erick Ramirez tallied three assists.
The Panthers will be looking for their first victory at 7 tonight, when they travel to take on the White River Hornets.
