National Night Out was success throughout town

National Night Out. What a wonderful evening for Aug. 2. Neighbors meeting neighbors, some for the first time. There were ice cream socials, barbecues, potlucks and even block parties. Each gathering was unique, but they all strengthened the vitality of their neighborhood.

Neighbors caring for neighbors, such a simple but important concept, and having the fire and police departments take part in the festivities was awesome. There were a dozen or so gatherings spread out among the community and we hope those will continue.

It was a positive experience for everyone, so think about having your own NNO event next year.
