Buckley resident Gladys “Lyn” Rothenberg, 83, died Jan. 29, 2012.
She was born May 2, 1928, in Fair Bluff, N.C. She retired as a registered nurse and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by daughter Donna Watkins and husband Don of Buckley; sons Donald Gittings of Riverside, Calif., and Cliff Gittings and wife Christina of Boise, Idaho; brothers Floyd Strickland and wife Pat of Chino Valley, Ariz., Elbert Strickland and wife Nancy of Wiggins, Miss., and M.G. Strickland and wife Carol of Round Rock, Texas; sisters Barbara Parker and husband Leroy of Branford, Fla., and Christine Prost of Council Bluff, Iowa; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joffre, in 1990.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Weeks’ Funeral Home in Buckley.
