E Z Kitty and Class Included lead nominations for Boeing Handicap | Emerald Downs

E Z Kitty, a fast filly with a low profile, is among seven older fillies and mares nominated to the $50,000 Boeing Handicap on Sunday, July 8.
The Boeing, to be run at one mile, is the first route test of the season for older fillies and mares and the final local tune-up for the $65,000 Emerald Distaff on Sunday, Aug. 19.
E Z Kitty has won six of nine lifetime starts, including two stakes races and $75,016 in purses, but has never been a betting favorite. Dismissed at 11-to-1 odds in the Washington State Legislators Stakes, the daughter of He’s Tops led all the way to score a three-quarter-length victory over Class Included in 1:14.61 for 6-½ furlongs. E Z Kitty proved she could route with a gate-to-wire win in the 2011 John & Kitty Fletcher Stakes, running one mile in 1:38.26 on a sloppy track.
Class Included might be the steadiest performer at Emerald Downs. Voted the track’s Top 3-Year-Old Filly of 2011, the 4-year-old Include filly has transitioned nicely into the older filly or mare ranks with a win and a second in the division’s first two races. Trained by Jim Penney, Class Included is 6-6-0 in 12 career starts with earnings of $229,323.
Carrabelle Harbor, Elusive Noise, Rewritten and Sweet Nellie Brown all are stakes winners at Emerald Downs, and Cielator is undefeated in two starts including a recent $32,000 claiming win at Emerald Downs.
