The following is a press release from the Sumner Pierce County Library:
Teenagers will serve the community with their creative skills during free events at Sumner Pierce County Library this summer.
Teens will knit, crochet or sew hats, scarves and blankets to be donated to local service organizations for families in need. Students may earn community service credit toward high school service learning requirements.
All supplies will be provided. The Crafting for a Cause group will meet from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates:

Tuesday, Aug. 6
Tuesday, Aug. 13
The Friends of the Sumner Library sponsor these free events and provide all supplies.
