East Pierce Fire and Rescue conducted a live fire training burn on Interlake Island Saturday, Jan. 18. The fire department coordinated with the home owner, who is rebuilding a new home on the property.

Firefighters from Orting Fire and Rescue also participated in the day-long training exercise, which included multiple scenarios simulating real house fires.
