Floating along | Sumner Mayor update

The Sumner Community Float is coming along nicely with the Daffodil Festival parade just over a week away!  Thank you to Carl & Fran Jones and Home Depot for help with getting turf and to Northwest Yamaha Golf Cars for lending a cart.  (You can see where the theme is going, right?)

Thanks also to Jeff and Rick from City fleet as well as Chris Karr from ACT 1 Theatre, Ron Haines from Napa Auto Parts in Sumner and Jon Swanson for getting motors rolling and running.

There’s still time to join in the fun!  The next work party is this Saturday, April 4, at the float barn.  Contact Lana or Carmen for directions.  We’ll be building and installing the frames for flowers as well as final construction before the float moves to Tacoma for flowers on April 10.
