BURGLARY IN PROGRESS: Officers responded to a commercial burglary alarm July 29. Officers observed the front glass door was shattered. While waiting for backup and a K9 unit to arrive, officers heard bumping coming from inside. Officers then ordered the suspect inside to exit and show his hands. The subject then took off east through the business and officers again heard banging. Officers again ordered the subject to exit, and this time he complied. Officers observed blood on the hands, arms and face of the suspect. The banging sound was caused by the subject attempting to kick a hole in a wall in the business to escape.
