Construction crew uncovers human remains in Gig Harbor | Pierce County Sheriff’s Department

Today, a construction crew building a new home in Gig Harbor unearthed human remains while moving dirt. The bones, which appear very old, are being recovered and detectives have begun their investigation.

At 11:00 a.m., a construction crew member called 911 to report that they had just dug up bones, which appeared to be human. Deputies, detectives and forensics personnel responded to the jobsite in the 8000 block of Goodman Dr. NW and confirmed that the bones are human and are very old.

Forensics personnel continue to search for additional remains, and detectives are looking at missing persons reports and talking to neighbors.
