Belmont venture offers lavender, much more

Jeannette Belmont’s love of lavender eventually expanded into a business venture that offers much more than just the fragrant plant.

In July, she opened Living in Lavender Home on her family’s acreage in rural Enumclaw. Belmont serves as owner, manager and the creative force behind the business that occupies a tastefully remodeled barn.

Her offerings include fresh and dried lavender (grown on-site), candles, painted furniture, home decor and housewares, children’s books and one-of-a-kind items. Belmont also boasts fireside seating in the store and complimentary coffees and teas. Classes and workshops are offered as well.
