Human remains found in Black Diamond

A hiker traversing trails behind the Black Diamond Ten Trails housing development stumbled onto human remains, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The hiker called the Black Diamond Police Department sometime the night of Sept. 10, according to Sgt. Ryan Abbot, and the BDPD guarded the remains until the Sheriff Office’s major crimes unit could come the morning of Sept. 11. Deputies are continued their search for any additional remains throughout the day, and will possibly continue later into the week.

The remains were found at the 33000 block of SE Stevens Street, past the Glacier Ave. SE intersection.
