Shooting in southwest Enumclaw a suicide

Enumclaw policed rushed to a Garland Place address at 1:09 p.m. to reports of gunshots on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

Upon arrival, they witnessed the victim — an elderly male — lying outside his home. It’s unclear whether he was alive or dead at that moment.

Officers are still investigating the scene and waiting for the King County Medical Examiner to arrive.

One neighbor said her son heard two shots, but thought it was a car backing up until he saw the victim.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
