FOOTHILLS TRAIL BRIDGE UPDATE: The Foothills Trail bridge project was recently awarded to Ceccanti Inc. of Tacoma for $11.2 million. Construction is yet to begin; it could be as soon as November, or after the start of the new year. Another bid is going out for a trail connection between southeast Mud Mountain Road and the Boise Creek Bridge to finish the trail’s connection to Buckley and Pierce County.
