CORRECTION: The Oct. 9 letter to the editor, “Buss (and MAGA) have been bamboozled” was published without a name or city of residence. The letter was written by Stanley McKie of Enumclaw. The name was included in the online version of the letter.

OPINION UPDATE: In the Aug. 21 column, “I-2124 is about community good vs. personal gain”, Columnist Rich Elfers was originally neutral on the initiative. He now opposes the initiative: “… although $36,500 is a pittance for long-term care, it’s better than having no savings at all for average people. The wealthy can afford to subsidize their poorer neighbors, since long-term care will not be much of a problem for them.” The column has been updated.
