A fire on James Street drew a small crowd last night, drawn to the scene by numerous fire and police vehicles and earlier explosions.

According to the Pulse Point medical and fire alert app, the call for assistance went out at 8:52 p.m. on Feb. 19, and was cleared at 11:12 p.m.

Some bystanders at the scene reported hearing a large explosions before the fire.

However, the King County Sheriff’s Department said the fire was caused by faulty electrical wire inside a wall; the incident was deemed accidental, and no one reported injuries.

While it took more than two hours to clear the scene, Enumclaw Fire Department Fire Chief Ben Hayman said firefighters made a “quick stop” to the fire.
