Letter to the Editor: I rank Trump’s first year a success

It’s been one year since Donald Trump was sworn in as our President. I waited a year to give my observations about the job he has done.
The biggest reason I voted for Trump was the southern border. Biden opened up the border to millions of people to come into our country and immediately receive free food, free healthcare, free housing and free education. This open border created so many other problems for our country like crime, terrorism, over burdened healthcare, housing, drugs and over doses. Trump came in and within a month shut down the border. He proved the democrats were liars when they said they could solve the illegal immigration problem if only a big immigration law was passed. Trump used existing law to shut it down and begin deportations of illegal criminal aliens despite Democrats obstruction and desire to protect criminal illegal aliens. A+ for Trump.
The economy. I give Trump a B- for the economy. I see what he is doing with the economy. He is using tariffs as a negotiating tool to rebalance the trade deficit. For years I have heard politicians bemoan the trade deficit we have with other nations and he wants to actually do something about that trade imbalance. These trade agreements along with the tax cuts and de-regulation that comes with the big beautiful bill will probably change my grade to A+. Unfortunately, democrats want to see him fail, which means our country will fail.
I like the undoing of the complete non-sense of the woke, LGBTQ movement. Biological males going into women’s locker rooms and bathrooms. Biological males beating the hell out of women in sporting competitions. It turned into Crazyville and the left tried to convince us it was normal and good for kids. I think Trump has caused the LGB portion of the LGBTQ movement to think about divorcing the rest of the alphabet mafia because they are proving to be crazy. A+.
“The Swamp.” Trump creating DOGE and dismantling USAID and other government programs was an eye opener. USAID was a money laundering operation for Democrats. Billions of tax payer dollars going to NGO’s that used tax payer dollars to fund left wing protests and fund woke programs in foreign countries to promote DEI and LGBQWTF programs that the citizens in those countries don’t want. The Department of Education needs to be next in the slashing because that’s another Democrat run operation. Thank God NPR/PBS are going away because those media outlets were tax payer funded arms of the Democrat media machine. A+.
This is just the first letter I will write about the 1st year of Trump. He is the most impactful and greatest President of my lifetime.
