Francis “Frank” Earl Dacey
March 5, 1946- March 23, 2026
Francis “Frank” Earl Dacey was born on March 5, 1946, in Renton, Washington, to Owen and Alice Dacey. He grew up on the family farm in Kent alongside his older sister, Barbara, and older brother, Michael. Frank graduated from Kent-Meridian High School in 1964, carrying with him the strong work ethic and values that would define his life.
Frank was a devoted father to his two children, Meagan and Kevan. On August 6, 1971, he married the love of his life, Cheryl, in Enumclaw, Washington. Cheryl lovingly embraced the role of mother to Meagan and Kevan, and together they built a life centered on family. They welcomed three more children: Shannon (Poulin), born in 1973; Alison (Rahbin), born in 1977; and Ryan, born in 1978.
Later in life, Frank found immense joy in his role as “Papa” to 19 grandchildren and “Great Papa” to six great-grandchildren. Nothing meant more to him than time spent with his family. Whether cheering from the sidelines at games and events, camping on family trips, or lending a helping hand on projects big and small, Frank was always present, always supportive, and always proud. He especially enjoyed working alongside Cheryl in the yard or tackling her ever-growing “honey-do” list with a smile.
A talented and dedicated carpenter, Frank built two of the homes his family lived in—spaces filled with warmth and lasting memories. His craftsmanship and willingness to help others extended far beyond his own household; over the years, he contributed to countless projects for family and friends, always generous with his time and skill.
When Cheryl was diagnosed with cancer, Frank became her full-time caregiver and was by her side at all times. The last three years of her life he devoted to giving her the best care and comfort. Cheryl left us on February 23, 2023, and on March 23, 2026, they were finally reunited.
Frank will be remembered as an incredibly humble and hardworking man, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished so deeply and in the many lives he touched through his kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication.
