Letter to the Editor: Every accusation is an admission

Buss is ignorant of how freedoms in America are appreciated (“No Kings” and the real regimes of the world,” published April 15).
Buss’ willful ignorance and cult-like idolatry of Trump continues to cause him to write simple-minded arrogant letters with a tone as if he is wielding a club. His poor attempt to demonize the “No Kings” protesters as communist is ill-informed and misguided. Communism and fascism is more befitting of Trump and his administration.
The “No Kings” protesters celebrate their unwillingness to be obedient to Trump’s fascism. This is why Buss’ comparison between “No Kings” protesters and the protesters in Iran falls short. Americans enjoy rights that are protected. Iranians risk their lives seeking the same rights we enjoy.
“Regime change” for Iran? Yeah, right. There is little evidence that Trump’s illegal military attack on Iran is centered on winning human and civil rights for the people of Iran. Hence, it is Buss who is low-IQ and gullible when advancing Trump’s dishonesty and rot.
Buss’ letter is a bully’s attempt to condemn the “No Kings” protesters who happen to be from every demographic. Simultaneously, Buss fails to vilify the January 6 insurrectionists because the majority of those rioters look like him. The insurrectionists have all since been pardoned, celebrated and are endeavoring to have their convictions vacated thanks to the partisan DOJ. Some have committed more crimes since being pardoned.
In addition, the DOJ continues to stonewall the disclosures of the content in the Epstein Files. Effectively denying justice to the Epstein sexual assault survivors and from exposing Trump. Why isn’t Buss bellyaching about the DOJ’s lack of transparency, lack of accountability and criminality?
Buss disparages peaceful protesters who challenge Trump, while symbols of the Confederacy—an actual rebellion against the United States—are defended and celebrated by Trump and MAGA-billies. Confederacy-related organizations enjoy tax exemption status in many southern states. Why isn’t Buss popping a vein over this continued treason?
Buss, will you be celebrating the same freedoms on America’s 250th birthday that you are so eager to dismiss for others? Buss condemns protestors he disagrees with while he continues to benefit from the same right to spread propaganda and falsehoods in this newspaper.
Why do we honor the flag? We honor the flag to honor those who died for it. My drill instructors made sure that I would never forget this fact; so that Americans -including Buss -can enjoy enviable freedoms.
Oh! Can someone please school ignoramus Trump on proper flag etiquette? Those in uniform and veterans are called upon to salute when rendering proper respect to the flag. Frump looks awfully stupid wearing a suit and a ballcap while saluting the flag. He’s not a veteran so etiquette calls for him to place his hand over his malevolent heart just like all of his non-veteran predecessors and civilians. Buss, why don’t you whisper this pearl in your idol’s ear.
