Bill L. Boyd
1958 – 2026
While doing what he loved most, exploring the great outdoors with his family, Bill sustained an injury that unexpectedly resulted in complications and his sudden passing on April 4, 2026. He is remembered as a man of strong character, kind to his core, with easy laughter, a generous spirit and a heart bigger than life itself. Bill was born in Munich, Germany and spent his early years enjoying farm life and extended family in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. In the mid 1960’s his family moved to Auburn, Washington where he grew up and developed many life-long friendships. When raising his own family his home became Enumclaw, where he was close to the mountain he so loved and was blessed with more treasured friendships. Bill had a rewarding career in commercial construction, working on interesting projects sprinkled throughout the Seattle-Tacoma skylines, especially enjoying those that challenged his creativity. He spent his retirement years sharing as much time with family and friends as possible, and exploring new places, near and far. He enjoyed his travels but always returned saying there’s no place more beautiful than home. Bill is survived by his 3 loving sons and their wonderful partners; Scott (Tina), Benjamin (Julie) and Joshua (Whitney), his former wife and their devoted mother Ronda Boyd, 7 adored grandchildren: Emily, Liam, Davis, Lucille, Elliott, Stewart and Avery, 1 adored great grandchild, Jade Jr., his sister and brother-in-law Beth and Mike DaCosta whom he loved deeply and his beloved partner Amy McCall and her family. Family and friends were the light of Bill’s life. He is now shining down upon us, alongside his beloved daughter-in-law Ellen Boyd, brother Bob Boyd, and parents Marie and Bob Erickson. Bill touched many lives and we are better because of it. He loved and was loved immeasurably and will live on in us forever.
