Name Those Tunes returns to the Plateau

The Gateway Concert Band returns to Enumclaw for its 27th annual Name Those Tunes concerts this summer.
The nonprofit, which recently celebrated playing music on the Plateau for three decades, will be at Rotary Centennial Park in Enumclaw on June 15, starting at 7 p.m., followed by a June 22 concert at Creator Lutheran Church in Bonney Lake at the same time.
Although June weather is often pleasant, the band encourages its guests to bring blankets and chairs. If it rains, the show will move inside to the EHS theater or inside the church.
As the name of the concert suggests, a medley of music will be performed, from Disney and Star Wars to Glenn Miller and the Beatles. The audience is encouraged to participate by naming the individual tunes from a list of possible names.
The event is free, but donations of $10 or more are well appreciated.
The band will also be performing earlier at Enumclaw’s Veterans Memorial Park during the May 24 annual Veterans Day service at 2 p.m., and again on May 25 at the Tahoma National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
