A 30‑year community staple, Enumclaw’s very own Gateway Concert Band will hosting a free concert series, “The Adventure Never Ends” on Aug. 10 and 17 at Enumclaw’s Rotary Centennial Park.

“It’s sure to be a whirlwind of clapping, marching, soaring, ragtime, legends, laughter, and yes… at least one rubber chicken! This summer’s program is packed with musical surprises for every age, blending heartfelt melodies, classic Americana, and joyful silliness in true Gateway fashion,” Susan Evans, communications director for the group, said in an email. “… We can’t wait to share this joyful, quirky, high‑energy musical journey with you. Adventure is calling this summer—will you answer?”

Concert-goers, who are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, can expect tunes from the warm Irish blessing of May the Road Rise to Meet You to the Dixieland Jam from the southern U.S.

“And again, yes—we will be bringing the house down with the chaotic delight of a certain song which requires a very unique instrument,” Evans added. “You will have to see it to believe it, trust us.”

As always, our concerts are designed to be welcoming, lighthearted, and fun for all. Whether you’re a lifelong band nerd, a casual toe‑tapper, or someone who just wants to sit in the August sunshine and vibe; we hope to see you at one—or both!—of our concerts.

While the concert is free, donations of $10 are appreciated.
