Paul Garifalon Jr

Enumclaw — Paul A Garifalon
Jr passed away on June 3, 2026,
at the age of 68. Born on May 1,
1958, in Naha, Okinawa, to Paul
A Garifalon Sr & Ann Garifalon.
Paul grew up in an Air Force fam
ily living in England, New York,
Rhode Island & South Carolina
before making his own mark on
the world.
A graduate of Hillcrest High
School in Dalzell, South Carolina,
Paul excelled in athletics before
serving in the United States Navy
from 1978 to 1983 as an Electri
cians Mate aboard the USS Mil
waukee. During a 1980 collision
at sea, his calm and courageous
actions helped protect his fellow
sailors, earning him the Navy
Achievement Medal.
After his military service, Paul
eventually settled in Enumclaw,
Washington, where he built a
life with his beloved wife, Linda
Hook, whom he married in 1992.
Paul was a lifelong sports en
thusiast and an avid Green Bay
Packers fan. He coached youth
football, umpired little league and
high school baseball, and officiat
ed girls high school volleyball. He
especially loved mentoring young
athletes and giving back to his
community through sports.
More than anything, Paul will
be remembered for his generous
heart. He was loyal, compassion
ate, and always willing to help
others. If you were fortunate
enough to call Paul a friend, you
had a friend for life.
Paul was preceded in death by
his parents. He is survived by
his wife, Linda Hook; his sister,
Paula Kanner (Mike), nephews
Nick & Zach; his brother, Tim
Garifalon (Carol Ann), nephews
Daniel & Jordan; and many cher
ished friends and extended family
members.
A Celebration of Life will be
held on June 29, 2026, at 3:00pm
at Enumclaw Estates. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may
be made to a favorite no-kill ani
mal rescue or youth sports orga
nization.
