Simmons, Petersen wed in May

Robin Simmons, daughter of Dr. James and Jytte Simmons of Seattle, was married May 20, 2009, to Andrew Petersen, son of Larry and Deb Petersen of Enumclaw. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gerry Smith at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish, Wash.

The bride, a 1999 graduate of Garfield High School in Seattle, was attended by her sisters and co-maids of honor Abbey Simmons and Christina Walton. The groom is 1998 graduate of Enumclaw High School. His brother Joe Petersen was best man.

The couple met for a coffee date Nov. 19, 2005, that lasted five hours and have been together since. She is currently completing a master’s degree in nursing at Pacific Lutheran University and works as a nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. He is employed by the Art Institute of Seattle.

Following a honeymoon on Kauai the couple will reside in Tacoma.
