Enumclaw High’s Anna Nelson and Lauren Redman won their opening match over Holly Russell and Alysia Noriega of Everett at the Class 3A state girls tennis tournament 6-1, 6-3 Friday morning. They will face Anissa Bryant-Swift and Malia Lum of Sammamish later this afternoon.

Teammates Julie Sanders and Breanna Pierce lost their opener in Vancouver, Wash., 6-1, 6-0 to Kate Jameson and Grace Porter of Bainbridge Island. They are scheduled to face Blake Henley and Jannalee Gould of Highline.
